One of the maddening things in the Marine Corps is the hurrying up... and then waiting. We would always be somewhere, quick, fast, and in a hurry, in order for us to wait. Hurry up and form up so we can be inspected half-hour from now! Hurry up so we can sit inside the hangar for a flight scheduled in five hours! Hurry up and form a line so that we can wait for the PX to open in forty-five minutes!
